It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that a former member of the dojo, Jerry Humphrey, has died.

We understand that Jerry was involved in an accident while on his mountain bike. He was on life support systems for a while but could not live without them. He passed away September 3rd '04.

For those of you who didn't know Jerry, you were unlucky.

He was a gangly man with reddish hair and an easy smile. He was a member for a number of years and was a contemporary of Russ, April and Dennis. He later taught at the dojo and his lessons were always interesting and fun.

Jerry left the dojo a couple of years ago when he and his family sold up their house and business and traveled to Central America for an extended stay. He really enjoyed his time down there but felt he had to return to BC for his family's sake. He briefly rejoined the dojo but decided to move again, finally settling on the Island.

He was a family man and leaves behind his wife Rosie and their two young children. Please remember Jerry in your thoughts.
